So there are a couple things I am really going to miss about our back yard. The yard is BIG and a pain to mow and water and take care of and pull weeeds and rake leafs and pick fruit trim trees you know regular maintance of a big yard with big trees. But the summers and the fun really outweighs the bad in my mind most of the time.
My kids love it when Nate pulls them in the trailer that hooks to our lawm mower around the yard they would sit there for along time and just let him drive. Too bad you can't pull the trailer and catch grass at the same time.
Nate is also brave and when he his home he let Tianne and Toby take turns driving the other kids around the lawn. They love that more then riding in the back and so far our kids have survived.
The other day we were starting the scooter to see if it would start after the long winters break and it started our kids were begging for a ride. We really have helmets for them all and sometimes Nate will give them a ride. But our helmets are packed (that awful word again). So he gave them rides in our backyard Collin (middle name danger which he lives up to too often) Loved the scooter he would try to follow it around I had to hold him the whole time for fear he would run in front of it while nate was giving the other kids rides.
The things my kids love to do are many in the backyard which is fenced and sometimes the afternoon will go by and I don't hear from my kids they are just playing. Toby loves to climb trees he climbed our tree in our front yard in Tempe and the trees in Twin Falls, and was very sad that he couldn't climb the palm trees in Mesa. But all the time I find him in trees in the yard.
Kirsten and Zoe love the swing set them and their friends will swing day and night cold or not.
We are going to miss it here a lot and will be excited to come visit everyone often. But we do have to admit we are looking forward to the adventure the valley brings. The Targets and the Costcos that will be close by. Someday we even look forward to having a pool in our own yard again. We hope that everyone we know here in Blogger world will keep in touch and not forget about us and when you come to "the valley" let us know maybe we can get together for some yummy food or just hanging out.
